This track goes through Western Cambodia from North (Battambang) to South (Kampot).
Roads go across the mythic Cardamoms Mountains to the Gulf of Thailand then to the Botum Sakor National Park to the lost Port Town of Thmor Sor, the remote Island of Koh Sdach and then carries on all the way down to the relaxed Kampot.
WHEN: we drove this route in April 2014
DURATION: it took 7 full days, 10 would have been even better
WARNING: between O Som and Koh Kong you might not see many people at all...
MISTAKE: there was this boat leaving from Thmor Sor to Sihanoukville at 5.30 am, it left at 5...
THE TIP: if you want to avoid the very hard part of the road, you should start in Pursat, not Battambang!
